the gift…

the gift

within revered circle
a gift that was given to
you from
someone else
or what seemed
to be intended
as a gift for someone else
was instead given to me

i smelled vexation
a bother, flippant swagger
love-heart offered for you
conveniently i
just happened to be there
as you swiftly
handed your gift
off to me

sacred gifts are often given
to a teacher as a token 
of appreciation, gratitude
for learnings and gifts
received from 
a blessed pulse
lineage
i know you taught
us well?

this boorish handoff
from a sweet place
of the rivers-three
promptly, abruptly
cast-off into my two
exposed ready hands
weighted at once
summoned
our blessed earth mother
grounding me up 
deep

aback
looking down 
now
holding
a large
smooth,
oval stone
filled my cupped hands

direct recognition
of maybe, just maybe
i’ve known this old one before?

i do believe so

a rising and falling
devoted force
transports me to places
not yet known or
perhaps i’ve let go
without being seen

shashen!… could that be you?
are you drumming me
yet again?

i bid to journey
downward to
our mother’s core
to again meet you
face-to-face
at your crystal-domed gate
perhaps accept
comprehend
our enduring
discourse
at last
hand-to-hand
a shared pulse?

the time
undoubtedly now
as i gaze
within you, silver stone
filled with 
thousands and thousands
of stars
you shine me
as i fall into your cosmos
of unending
boundlessness

i so hear
your singing
immense singing

of the stars

i thank you
for your gift
meant to be?
