sympathetic echoes

a poem about my first experience receiving an ultrasound…

Yesterday was an interesting day being in ER, where i experienced for the first time, a very thorough ultrasound procedure… of which i found during the process a very moving, vulnerable experience. During, i found my self being journeyed deep within my own body through the high frequency sound waves bouncing about inside and through my abdomen. I should say the result of this test showed nothing to be concerned about, with much relief!

open eye meditation, a healing thoughtform by weaver…

sympathetic echoes

surrendering
   allowing
      high frequency
         sound waves
            wandering knowingly
            back and forth
         over my
      soft smooth
aging curves

bouncing
   reverberating
      returning ripples
         waves rolling
            i can deeply sense
            high vibrations
          throughout
      even though
i’m not supposed to

bouncing waves
   tracking
      probing 
         pressing
            every part of
            of my belly
         from my insides
      echoing back
sonus

reflecting
   back imagery
      silent recording
         vulnerable
            fragile
            tender 
         trembling tissue
      tears rise
i weep
