heart felt…

re-membering a message from an exquisite tree…

Many years ago, i experienced a potent moment that has always stayed with me. Of late i’ve had a lot going on, a lot on my plate, of which i’m attempting to wrap within myself to make sense of it all. There’s been so much loss and grief on many different levels that i have to admit at times, so confusing and dispiriting. And i know i’m not the only one feeling this way… our world is spinning so crazy right now, it’s daunting to fathom ALL of it. One of the things i’ve learned is simple acceptance, knowing it is, what it is… to keep coming back to my center and just breathe…breathe through it…

Present moment… is all we have… 💨

It’s been so much that i find i have to re-member the tools i’ve been lovingly given, to help me get through these times. And, sometimes when we’re so in the thick of it, we simply forget to re-member those beautiful gifts we’ve been given. One thing i have really come to know deep in my heart is, just who my friends are… and i have so much gratitude for them including my beautiful partner, who have never left my side… thank you dear ones, thank you sweet Seonag… 🙏🏼

One of those gifts is my deep connection to spirit and my resonant relationship with that and how this re-membering has so helped me of late. I’ll admit, being in it all, i’ve simply forgotten though so very grateful, i have re-membered, once again.

The below is a poem that i wrote/sourced from one special tree who once lived in a wild forest here on the westcoast… a potent message and this is what she said to me, to all us… perhaps some hope… 💚

heart felt…

dear ones
it is so good
you have come
   to meet

i had been
   waiting for you

don't forget
where i once stood tall
walking 
dancing
swaying proud
bonded
   with my sister wind

from high
above i lived well
with my sisters
and brothers
my wise ancestors
   who
in front
behind
all around
above and below
   guide me

father sun
grandmother moon
the cloud people
the star people
those who fly high
crystal ones
the finned furred
those who creep and crawl
old stone people
tall ones
my kin
   inform me

because of
a humble call
and cry sounds
from our dear Mother
   you hear

i freely
willingly
give my self
my fallen earth body
because i come from
Her
   like you

please know
i come from living heart
sourced deep
breathing we
from our blessed Mother
   depth of core
from one heart
for many hearts
from one
   to all

know
sister wind's breath
sings with me
through me
   and through you
all of you
we shall soon
sing and play together with
   one heart
