Why i’m choosing to be here…
For awhile now, i’ve been looking for a simpler way to send emails to the good folk that follow my work, writing, poetry, art (colourwaters) music + drumming journey.
I’m tired of wasting my precious time with email clients that are so hard to figure out with a huge learning curve—where i don’t wish to figure out technology. I just simply wish to share my creative work easily without no fuss + muss.
In the past i’ve spent hours mindfully creating email newsletters and posting to social media without much response or any way to connect directly with those who wish to follow my work.
Our lives are so very busy and distracted. I know we often don’t have the time to read content other than quickly scrolling through an ever-moving feed riddled with incessant advertisements, crap, etc. Frankly, i’m quite tired of it… i feel i’m only creating for some huge conglomerate that only benefits from my content—only for my hard work to simply disappear into the ethers-feed.
I have years of content posted on my website’s blog + social media that no one seems to read unless i shamelessly promote it. So, i have decided to move my best work over here with hopes of creating some community together. I don’t want to support the big guys anymore and i am thrilled this platform is free to use. Thank you Substack.
I wish to create community with good folk who choose to be kind + simply care.
I love to write about my life and what shows up in front, beside, above and behind me. I know our blessed earth Mother is a beautiful, living being and we as humans have lost our way…or as Clint Ober puts it; ‘we’ve lost our ground’.
We have sure have lost our sacred or divine relationship with our Mother earth and i feel perhaps, a reason why we are in the trouble we are… like capitalization, climate change + earth changes, political unrest and more. And, i know we wouldn’t be here without our earth Mother, for She is indeed our Source, NOT a resource.
I have been a creative from the get-go and love to express my deep love for our earth Mother. I love to share my creativity through my watercolour art, my writing of poetry + prose, my music + drumming to express that.
What i’m working on at the moment is a CD project of my own music and creating my first book of poetry titled, ‘learning to dance with stone’.
So, i welcome you here, to join my substack, to perhaps ‘fill up’ and together we can explore ways to rebuild our sacred relationship again to our earth Mother that we once used to hold, with hopes to re-create a sacred balance.
Thanks for having a read or listen…
brightest + much love, weaver x (((o)))
