A raffle randomizer picked #29 out of 64 entries and Pat’s number won… and what’s very wonderful is that we all raised $950 towards Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)!
It was so great that this sweet ocean drum could do some real good in the world… supporting the group Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) who do important work globally, especially in worn torn countries like Gaza and Ukraine and more. I felt i wanted to be able to do something… to help out somehow and gifting this ocean drum seemed like the right thing to do. So, i ran a raffle and offered this drum as the prize. All funds were forwarded Docs Without Borders = yeah!!!

I hand-painted this ocean drum during a new moon cycle in 2023.
It is a powerful sound healing instrument that holds a very clearing, yet soothing sound, depending on how it is played.
This ‘Remo’ brand drum is 22-inches in diameter and when the drum is held and played, sounds very much like ocean waves along the shore—a very resonant relaxing sound.
We know the rain stick (originating from South America) is played vertically where, an ocean drum is played horizontally by gently rocking the drum from side to side, creating a spiral sound of the ocean waves rolling on the beach… or the drum can also be played on the lap, with the hands, frame drum style. Her tidal rhythms can help transport and clear your energy field just as the salty ocean can.
The geophone, now often known as the ocean drum or as a wave drum or rain disk is a percussion instrument, invented by the French composer Olivier Messiaen for use in his large composition for piano and orchestra entitled Des canyons aux étoiles, (From the canyons to the stars).
I painted an abstract moon-snail shell design in watercolours. I love that a shell forms from the center out as a spiral. Everything in nature spirals out, including us humans, the ebb + flow of our oceans, tides, the moon, rituals of animals, birds, plants and trees… everything in our universe… as above, so below. Everything is a spiral dance!
The drum is 22-inches diameter x 2.25 inches height, ocean drum (vegan/Remo brand) and painted in watercolours and sealed… AND sounds amazing! …and now, i’m thrilled it will go to live with Pat, to continue it’s healing sound work in the world… (((🧡)))Again, many many congratulations Pat! xo (((💜)))
